I truly love Hellraiser. Like, really, really love it. I have seen all of them, aside from that newest one (which I hear is pretty good). I have read all the comics. Hell, I’m even working up a currently Untitled Hellraiser Thing for this very website!

It is with that love that I must regretfully inform you that Variety has announced that none other than David S. Goyer is going to be rebooting the seminal horror classic.

*Long, Beleaguered Sigh*

I don’t love Goyer on his best day. And the weird blank checkbook he seems to have in Hollywood due to his involvement in the Nolan Batman movies is a whooooole other plate of spaghetti. I also don’t love the announcement that this will be an “evolved” imaging of the original novella. Any time someone starts throwing adjectives around before the word “horror,” I get the creeps.
